About the CenTex BBQ Roundup
The CenTex BBQ Roundup (CTBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2025 to bring Central Texas communities together through charity, collaboration, and celebration.
At its heart, CTBR is about connection. Each year, our free barbeque, music, and car show festival creates a shared space where families, businesses, schools, and local organizations come together not as spectators, but as neighbors. What begins with great food and live music quickly becomes something more meaningful. It becomes a place where relationships are built, stories are shared, and community pride is strengthened.
The event features 100 pitmasters, 120 vendors, 20 food trucks, an expected 300 show cars, and a full lineup of musicians and family entertainment. From kids activities like the petting zoo to the car show, animal adoption event, and music festival, every part of the experience is free to the public except People’s Choice taste judging, food trucks, and vendor purchases. No tickets. No barriers. Just a day designed so everyone can participate and feel welcome. Guests who want free food can register as an IBCA BBQ judge or a Jackpot competition judge at our website.
Through sponsorships and community partnerships, CTBR turns that shared experience into real impact. Funds raised support local education, youth programs, animal welfare services, and emergency responders. Proceeds are donated to trusted organizations such as the Belton Education Foundation, the Temple and Belton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Civil Air Patrol, the Lions Club, and local animal services through Healing Heart Rehab.
The CenTex BBQ Roundup is more than an event. It is a reminder of what is possible when a community chooses to show up for one another.
