As President and Chief Executive Officer of the CenTex BBQ Roundup (CTBR), George Bunker is bringing BBQ, community, and philanthropy together like never before. Through this non-profit social welfare organization, George is on a mission to support animal services, law enforcement, and community safety, one smoked brisket at a time. Whether uniting pitmasters or rallying sponsors, George ensures that every bite serves a purpose.
When he’s not igniting the BBQ scene, George applies more than 30 years of global experience in the energy and water sectors to advancing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs. He focuses on building systems that drive efficiency, accountability, and performance while ensuring that safety standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Beyond BBQ and safety leadership, George co-founded the Texas BBQ Bash, spearheaded Empower Freedom’s fight against human trafficking in the energy industry, and contributed to the founding of Energy Strong, a platform empowering energy professionals. Whether strengthening safety systems, protecting civic engagement, or serving up unforgettable BBQ experiences, George Bunker’s passion and precision are the secret sauce behind his success.
