John Fisher

Director of Community Engagement

Spreading the Word, Building the Community

As the Founder and President of Elite Protection and Investigation Concepts, LLC, John Fisher brings decades of experience in leadership, protection, and public service to the CenTex BBQ Roundup. His company reflects the same values that guide his life—service, integrity, and accountability. A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, John served as a military police K-9 handler supporting special operations for the Secret Service, protecting the President, Vice President, and visiting dignitaries. He also trained and operated with the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, gaining firsthand experience in high-pressure environments that demand focus and courage.

Following his military service, John continued his commitment to public safety through law enforcement, serving with the Texas Department of Public Safety, working within the Governor’s Protective Detail, and later being appointed to the OneStar Foundation. Across every role, he has built a reputation as a steady hand and trusted leader dedicated to protecting people and communities.

At CTBR, John leads community engagement across Central Texas, connecting with civic organizations, volunteers, and local leaders who are the heartbeat of the event. From Rotary Clubs to rodeos and Lions Clubs to local car shows, he helps bridge the gap between civic pride and everyday kindness. Guided by faith and humility, John believes that strong communities are built through trust, generosity, and people showing up for one another.

His philosophy is simple: true service is not just about giving—it’s about empowering others to grow and contribute. Inspired by Matthew 4:19, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,” John strives to turn good intentions into lasting action. Through his leadership, the CenTex BBQ Roundup continues to grow not just as an event, but as a movement built on unity, compassion, and service to others.
