Leigh McDonald is the Executive Secretary for the CenTex BBQ Roundup (CTBR), blending her creativity and passion for art and marketing into every aspect of the event. Thoughtful and imaginative, Leigh plays a key role in shaping the BBQ competition, entertainment, and overall experience. Her skills in photography, event planning, and customer service infuse the event with artistry and attention to detail, making it not only memorable but reflective of Central Texas’ vibrant culture. With degrees in Communications and Fine Arts, Leigh’s work combines the precision of organization with the soul of artistic expression, ensuring that CTBR celebrates community, creativity, and the joy of coming together.
As the Executive Secretary, Leigh is at the heart of CTBR, ensuring the seamless operation of the Board of Directors (BOD). She plays a crucial role in scheduling and coordinating quarterly BOD meetings, accurately recording minutes, tracking important initiatives, and following up on action items to ensure timely progress. In addition to her administrative duties, Leigh also contributes to CTBR's media communications and helps amplify community engagement through social media, as well as creating banners, programs, and other marketing materials. Her organizational skills and passion for community make her a key driver in the success of CTBR, an event that brings people together while supporting important causes.
In her full-time role, Leigh is the Marketing Coordinator for Integrated Water Services, where she applies her creative and organizational expertise to create media, graphics, and marketing strategies for the company. Beyond her professional and volunteer work with CTBR, Leigh dedicates a significant amount of time to the Special Olympics, where she serves as a mentor and participates in fundraising activities, furthering her commitment to supporting others in meaningful ways.
