With dual bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Steve has built an impressive career in the public and private sectors. His contributions span agencies like the Texas Water Commission (now TCEQ), the City of San Marcos, and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). Since 2015, he has worked with Jones-Heroy & Associates, Inc., where he excels in managing construction documentation and navigating TCEQ bond applications across multiple Texas cities.
Steve’s true passion lies in BBQ. A seasoned competitor in renowned BBQ competitions, including the prestigious Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Steve applies the same precision and fire to the smoker as he does to his professional endeavors. He’s also deeply committed to giving back, participating in charitable BBQ events that support communities across Texas.
Steve’s dedication to quality, community, and competition makes him a vital asset to the CTBR team, where he focuses on enhancing the overall performance and experience of the event for all participants and attendees.
